Day 23 of Gratefulness: Shoulder

I am a few days behind on my gratefulness but I have not forgotten to be grateful each day. I have been grateful in my heart with what the universe presented to me. I just ran out of time to document it, which I will do now. Day 23 is about my shoulder. I specifically choose it because I was able to do push-ups again with out any issues on this day.

You see on January 9th I thought I pulled a muscle in my shoulder and continued to use it poorly for a week in a half before seeing my amazing chiropractor. At that time I discovered that I pulled the tendon out. For one week following the chiropractor I was not allowed to raise my elbow higher than my shoulder, which created some interesting experiences. Try putting you hair in a ponytail or taking a shirt off. I some how could get the shirt easily on but never off. You begin to realize how much you use something when you cannot use it anymore at its full capacity, especially when it is your dominant arm.

My body and mind are pretty miraculous as I was healing at an amazing rate and could use my arm and shoulder much more just one week after the chiropractor. I still wanted to give it more time since an injury like this normally takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal properly. I finally felt confident in my shoulder and gave the old push-up a try. I completed a full set of 10 successfully, which felt amazing. I am truly grateful for my shoulder as well for how little it took to heal it. Mind over matter with large quantities of love usually does the trick.
