Day 37 of Gratefulness: Tissues

Since today I have a nasty head cold with a lot of junk coming out of my nose I want to show my appreciation to tissues. They have been highly used today in mass quantities. We take so many things for granted but when we truly need something and partaking in using it we often realize its worth. Tissues have been one of my dearest friends today besides the Emergency C, hot tea, Neti Pot, soup, movies and other great vitamins plus loads of water. Seriously today I am grateful for tissues and the person who invented them- whoever you are.

Day 36 of Gratefulness: Grapefruit

My good friend Kristen gave me a grapefruit that she got from a friend in Arizona who grows them in his back yard. All I can say is OMG - this grapefruit tasted so divine that I just ate whole thing and rather quickly. It tasted so fresh and amazing. The greatest thing about it is that grapefruit is actually a great food that possess antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties- specifically in the extract form. Since I woke up with a cold today I am hoping that between the properties it contains and the love I had for it that I will feel a heck of a lot better tomorrow. I might just pray to the grapefruit gods in the morning when I wake up feeling 100% better. It is such a powerful fruit.

Day 35 of Gratefulness: Green Up- take only what you need

I feel really, really lucky that I get to work with some inspiring people on the Green Up Denver project. At the meeting this morning it was so humbling that everyone really was on board to take only what they needed for their festivals greening program this year. As much as it would have been easier to split the resources and funding evenly it was great that every festival realized that we are all in this together and if one festival needs more than a another that is the best option in reaching our goals and fulfilling our mission of Green Up Denver. I so appreciate this group and being able to collaborate with them on this project. It is an honor to work with them and I hoe we inspire more people, organizations and businesses do think like this.

Day 34 of Gratefulness: Wendy-Sue

My older sister finally nailed a great job and today I got to spend a good 30 minutes learning about all the ins and outs of the job. Those 30 minutes were inspiring as she expressed the the pure enjoyment she is having on this new adventure. It is exciting to see how much more confident and determined my sister is. I am grateful that I got to spend those 30 minutes with her.

Day 33 of Gratefulness: Pedicure

Today I found the time to give my feet a pedicure. During the winter months my feet do not see a lot of light or a lot of love for that matter. With more skiing and the running lately my feet were telling me, no begging me for pedicure. Today was the day and my feet are in their happy place now. I love spending time pampering myself.

Day 32 of Gratefulness: Pieter

Even though it was brief I am truly grateful for the conversation with my dear friend Pieter Gyssels before he departed for Europe today. It warms my heart every time I talk with him and I am so lucky to have him in my life. Thank goodness for Skype as he is out of the country for some months now and I will need a Pieter fix every so often.
