Day of 105 of Gratefulness: Holiday Cards

I love getting mail this time of year as Holiday Cards from friends near and far seem to fill my mailbox.  I love to see what cards people choose and the messages they write.  I love to hear from friends that I only hear from once every year but it is wonderful to know they are still alive and doing well.  It is exciting to put my mailbox key into the slot, turn it and surprise there is a stiff square envelope or two or three just waiting to be opened and enjoyed.  Most of the year I receive bills and advertisements, which can sometimes be depressing and overwhelming.  But this time of year there is a skip in my walk as I make my way to the mailbox. Some days I just want to stand outside of the mailbox waiting for the mail delivery person and give them a big grin and a hug for making my day great.  So, keep those cards coming friends and if you feel the need to send one another time of the year it would truly make my day then too.
